The “main event” show of the year! Jazz Giants is the bands’ favorite program. We welcome back Dr. Jack Stamp on vibraphones. One of America’s most well-known composers of concert band music, we will perform several original compositions and arrangements written for the EBB by Dr. Stamp. We pull out all the stops for this show with a deep dive into the jazz pantheon including charts by Thelonius Monk, Stan Kenton, Ella Fitzgerald, Quincy Jones, Duke Ellington, Chuck Mangione, Billie Holiday and Miles Davis. Put on your Zoot suit, dust off that pork pie hat and come out to the historic Reeves Theater for an evening of spectacular big band jazz.
